Drug Overview
Equate Maximum Strength Mucus Relief Severe Congestion and Cough is a medication designed to help you manage symptoms associated with colds and respiratory irritants. It works by loosening phlegm (mucus) and thinning bronchial secretions, making it easier to clear your airways and produce a more effective cough. This product temporarily relieves cough caused by minor throat and bronchial irritation, reduces the intensity of coughing, and helps suppress the urge to cough, allowing you to rest better.
The formula includes three active ingredients: Dextromethorphan HBr, which acts as a cough suppressant; Guaifenesin, an expectorant that helps clear mucus; and Phenylephrine HCl, a nasal decongestant that alleviates nasal congestion. This combination is intended for individuals aged 12 and older, providing relief from bothersome symptoms so you can feel more comfortable.
