Drug Overview
Adult Tussin Multi-Symptom Cold CF is a medication designed to help relieve multiple symptoms associated with the common cold. It contains three active ingredients: Dextromethorphan HBr (20 mg), which acts as a cough suppressant; Guaifenesin (200 mg), an expectorant that helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions for easier drainage; and Phenylephrine HCl (10 mg), a nasal decongestant that alleviates nasal congestion.
This non-drowsy formula is suitable for individuals aged 12 years and older and is alcohol-free. It temporarily relieves symptoms such as nasal congestion and cough caused by minor throat and bronchial irritation, making it a helpful option when you're feeling under the weather.
